Part 6 of sewing this suit for a wedding and it's the season finale! I'm honestly so proud of this suit and I appreciate it may not be everyone's cup of tea but I'm excited to style each of these pieces separately now too the real joy in an outfit of separates. The jacket pattern I'm using is Butterick 6862 and this fabulous green and pink satin is from Fabric Godmother and the lining is from Minerva.com
This year (2024) I took on the Crochet Society Advent Calendar, and it really was such a lot of fun. My best bit was being able to do it along side my mum and share messages with her each day on how we were getting on.
Day 5 and it' was the last day I had available to sew before the wedding so I really had no choice but to get this done. Lots of finishing bits to do like hemming and playing around with shoulder pads. The jacket pattern I'm using is Butterick 6862 and this fabulous green and pink satin is from Fabric Godmother and the lining is from Minerva.com
Day 4, part B. This was my last full sewing day in the studio between now and the wedding, I'll find odd hours here or there though to finish the hemming etc off though (I hope). So satisfying to have whipped these up, just need to figure out my shoes so I can hem them and do all the finishing bits on the jacket! Day 4 and we've moved on to working on the trousers for this pant suit. It's a self drafted pattern, full palazzo so wonderfully wide legs. Apologies this has rolled into 2 parts I underestimated my ability to natter. Day 3 has had to be split into 2 parts because I pulled too many hours at the machine, so this is part b from today. Such a satisfying point to have reached by the end of this sewing session with all the bits together in one piece.
