I had the absolute honour to make this incredible

I had the absolute honour to make this incredible woman's mother of the bride dress for this weekend.

There's a million things I could write about this lady, having been sent in each other's direction over a decade ago now I honestly can't imagine life without her. She's a boss, a friend and frankly a part of the family. This power couple have supported me so much with my business and I'll forever be grateful (especially with how patient they are with my haphazard invoice sending).

She knew what she wanted for this dress... And running a fabric shop meant she knew exactly the fabric she wanted to wear too. We found a couple of patterns that had the bodice style she wanted so I worked with those, did a few fittings and then free cut a skirt to go with it. I'm so thrilled with how it came out, she looks the absolute power house that she is... But most importantly she looks like herself which can be hard to do in occasion wear.

The solution is easier than you may think though, no need to panic.

*Please ignore me lining up the bottom stripe with the side on the fold rather than the side seam where it should be... I realised after I finished filming.

I'm currently working on a thing... A scary thing, a thing that's pushing me outside my comfort zone and I'm both excited and anxious to get it out there.

I want it just right though, so it's taking me longer than I anticipated but then all good things take time.

I'm hoping it's no more than a few weeks off! 😲

I'm excitedly getting myself prepped for May at th

I'm excitedly getting myself prepped for May at the moment. This challenge is what I need to push myself to
A. Sort out my me mades
B. Prioritise making new pieces for me.
C. Make more time for my Instagram and business
D. Make more time for me.

Taking a photo every day and being more creative with my outfits makes me take time to get myself ready in the morning, something as a mum of 3 I'm not very good at doing... but I feel better when I do. That plus improving my relationship with my Me Mades is exactly what I need right now.

I've already started taking stock of what Me Mades I have and have had my mind blown by how many there are so I'm excited to figure out which ones are practical on days when I'm with the children and will work for me given I'm still breastfeeding and which ones make my soul the happiest.

This challenge is something I'm taking on for me... But I'm excited to share it all with you guys to hold myself accountable for completing it.

Does anyone else have badge collecting children th

Does anyone else have badge collecting children that need them sewn on? Yes I know there's badge glue, but if they outgrow the top you'll be in a world of pain.

Here's a quick set of tips for sewing them on:

- Fastening on is quick and simple if you fold your thread in half and thread both ends through the needle so you have a loop at the other end. Tiny stitch where you want to secure them, go through the loop and ta-da!

- Don't try and go through the badge itself, just take a stitch under the stitching at the edge of the badge.

- Colour match your thread to either the stitching at the edge of the badge or to the top you're sewing it to.

- If you're finding it hard to get the needle through it may be it's too fat or simply blunt, try a different one.

- Fasten off by doing a couple of small stitches on top of each other at the end tucked in as close as you can to the badge.
